Perform a  variety of tasks from bookkeeping, word processing, database administration, Crystal Report writing (including stored procedures in SQL), beta testing, brochure creation and/or editing, marketing plan creation and market research. 

Create, write and edit basketball programs.

Key communicator between the clients and developers, handle all contract negotiations and administration of contract paperwork and research potential revenue opportunities.  

Bookkeeping responsibilities (using Quickbooks Pro) for clients include accounts payable, accounts receivable, banking relationships, some tax paperwork and purchasing decisions. 

Current clients include three different individual programmers who work on a contract basis and a software developer who is selling and marketing programming utilities.. Past clients include a doctor in Oklahoma who is having a dictation/transcription software suite developed and a company who sells a POS dry cleaning software application.

General Manager / Vice President

Initially hired as the owner's sole assistant at a time when company averaged $250,000 in annual volume; performed all daily operations, including general office duties, shipping & receiving, technical sales, bookkeeping and collections.  

Responsibilities grew to include all bookkeeping (used MAS90); market research, planning & implementation; selection & development of personnel; contract negotiations and targeting new products for development or publishing.  

Total P&L responsibility included forecasting and developing budgets and authorization of all purchases.  In the personnel area, supervised the hiring, training, promotion and, if necessary, termination of all company employees.  

Direct responsibilities included ongoing analysis to identify untapped markets, new directions for product development, and new means of promoting, marketing & distributing product.  

A key function was the scheduling and implementation of the scheduling to ensure the developers, writers, and marketing people were all on target for release dates.  This required interaction with the owner, customers, beta sites and developers on a continual basis.

Diverse administrative and computerized accounting responsibilities.  

Advised and registered students for Intel distributor training in the United States.  

Prepared a business and management indicator package for use throughout the US distributor training offices.  

Wrote a manual and provided phone support to the worldwide training centers on the Intel Registration System.

Carrollton / Farmers Branch ISD Educational Foundation

 

Director on the Board of Directors.  The CFBISD Education Foundation mission is to enrich educational opportunities in the schools of the Carrollton – Farmers Branch ISD.  The Foundation encourages contributions for current programs and endowment purposes and plans and administers all programs in cooperation with the school district administration.  I am currently chair-elect and will become the chairperson at the end of this term.

My current board position is 5th Vice President in charge of parent education.  I work with 35 parent education chairs at the local PTA unit level.  Past positions have included Chair for the Clothes Closet, a community service project which provides clothing to families in need, 1st Vice President - Aide to the President and newsletter chair.

President

Schedule and preside over all board meetings.  Preside over and speak at all general meetings.  Oversee all functions of the PTSA including fundraising, expenditures and parent education.  Primary goals for the year are to establish a post prom fund for a post prom party and a scholarship fund for next year's graduating seniors.

Council Delegate & Parliamentarian

As delegate, sit in on school district meetings once a month and report back to  local

school at the local meetings.   Speak at school meetings and  write articles for newsletters as well as for students to take home to their parents. Involved in several community projects, including the CFBISD Clothes Closet, which clothes several hundred families each year in our district, the CFBISD Gently Used Book Fair whose profits go to the Educational Society Foundation and the CFBISD Council and conduct a $$$ for

Socks drive within our community each year whose profits go for additional funding of the Clothes Closet. As parliamentarian, monitor the proceedings of our board meetings and members.
